The Gift of Love in Song

Dr. Edith A. Copley will conduct the Master Chorale of Flagstaff in its first of two Spring concerts ? "The Gift of Love in Song." Joining the Master Chorale will be the Coconino High School Chamber Singers directed by Douglas Riddle and the Arizona Mountain Chorale.

Enjoy an afternoon of romance listening to classic songs of love - Daniel Pinkham's Wedding Cantata and Eric Whitacre's Five Hebrew Love Songs which he wrote out of his love for is wife, Hila Plitman. There will also be early madrigals by Thomas Morley and Orlando di Lasso, the beautiful Appalachian folk song, Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair, a setting of Robert Burns' poem O My Luve's Like a Red, Red Rose by Rene Clausen and much more.
