This musical event is conducted by Elizabeth Schulze. The evening begins with Weber's Overture to Euryanthe from the composer's grand romantic opera in the early 19th century. Haydn's Farewell Symphony follows the operatic piece with movements that begin in turbulence and end in a whimsical feeling of longing for home. Brahm's Symphony No. 1 in C Minor closes the concert with a composition that constantly travels through the orchestra, touching every instrument.
