George Averbeck, owner and artist of Fire on the mountain, sculpts and creates master-piece hand-blown glass. He has been on the Flagstaff art scene since the 1980’s – a colorful character who loves to show-off the great local artists and venues that Flag has to offer.  He loves to give demonstrations at his studio and is very well known for his Christmas ornaments.  Stop by the Fire on the Mountain Studio and see George draw/design and chage a liquid ball of glass, heat it to 2000 degrees, roll in beautiful colors, and sculpt an amazing piece...but remember you can't buy it right away because it takes 15 hours to cool!
