2010 Summer Concert Series - The Caribbean Zone
June 5, 2010
In collaboration with the Flagstaff Cultural Partners, The Arboretum presents regional performers with world music influences. Concerts are held outdoors under the shade of the cool pines with a view of the San Francisco Peaks. Rain or shine. Bring a picnic dinner and blanket or concert chairs. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. The Caribbean Zone, based in Phoenix, is a steel-drum performing group involved in promoting Caribbean culture through educational programs and presentations throughout the state. This group features performers originally from Trinidad and Tobago and focuses on "making Caribbean culture real." They showcase costumes, music and dances performed in Carnival.
